A compelling video – what we searched for on Google

A compelling video – what we searched for in 2017

It was amazing in the first 30 seconds of this video – the way the producers, who were simply recapping some of the most popular searches for 2017, hit such an emotional note so quickly.

Earth’s wisdom is at your fingertips

It made me realize almost instantly that this little white search box we use all day long to find stuff – really becomes pretty important when we need an answer in a tough spot.

Google truly makes an impact

Yes. Google is one of the ‘big 4’ GAFA (Google, Amazon, Facebook and Apple) that are driving the US economy. Google’s won at dominating search advertisting and is now all-in on A.I (Artificial Intelligence) so they will be around to shape our future for years to come.

But as the video shows – we turn to google for quick answers to important questions that pop up in our lives – and we expect quality information to surface above the noise…

A resource to learn anything

I love the quote by someone who, in thinking years ago what the future might be like, and upon arrival – noticed how few ‘flying cars’ there were. But instead, we all got this little white box on our phones that you can type anything into and basically access the sum knowledge of mankind in less than a second.

Google Responsibily

This puts a lot of power and responsibility into our own hands, for us, our children, our companies. We are able to ask any question and be able to navigate such massive collections of knowledge almost instantly. For anyone waiting around to be taught something new by an instructor or employer – it’s over — it is time to start teaching yourself – there is no execute anymore…

It’s a freedom and blessing, even though it’s all be tracked and monetized for advertising, to be able to have that kind of access and organization of the world’s knowledge at our fingertips. What can you not learn in just a couple of hours of research on Google and YouTube?
