What to Write About?

Posted by Paul Helmick

I’m a Technology CEO and Experienced Entrepreneur. I love helping people use technology to grow their business.

I was recently inspired by these two blog posts by Seth Godin and John Saddington – each making the point that they have written every day for quite some time. That’s an amazing display of discipline!

I want to start writing and sharing more. I’ve realized that what is easiest to write about is often what is ‘top of mind’ for me at this particular moment in life.

Sometimes there are so many ideas and topics in my mind, that it just take a moment to get clear and focused. When I think about clarifying (through writing) the big projects that are in front of me each day – that’s when writing seems to become much easier for me.

So moving forward, I’m going to commit to write something reflective, insightful or helpful each day. Most of the topics that I think are around my personal and business passions. Faith, family, parenting, business, technology and entrepreneurship.

But in the end think the key to writing something meaningful each day is to just it flow more freely from the real thinking that I’m doing each and every day.
