Tiny Fish Fillets!
As they say, “it ain’t much…” But we came home and had a – very – tiny little fish fry. Daniel ate every bite (really in a single bite) lol.
Fish!
Daniel caught three little sunfish right away! What a fun time! He is saying he wants to go home and eat them!
Pano Pic of Pettigrew Lake
I love the panograph photo feature of the iPhone. Sometimes a view is more than will fit into one frame of a shot. The second picture shows the map board of the lake.
Poison Ivy
Daniel has learned his leaves well. He spotted this right away.
Fishing Trip
Daniel I got to enjoy a morning fishing at Petigrew lake near Tornado. What a wonderful place to go fishing. We had a great time.
Almost there. 10k steps a day
I’ve found that I definitely have to do something intentional in order to get 10,000 steps. Either some time on the treadmill or a very long walk at lunchtime.
Natures Car Wash
I bought a silver car for a reason… But I’ll never turn down a free car wash like this one!
Kristen’s Coke and a Smile
It took a while to find one. But I just love sharing a Coke and smile with my sweetheart!
Deer Deer Deer
We got to enjoy watching this little guy walk right past our backyard patio and enjoy a wonderful dinner of apples fresh off the tree. The kids have never seen a deer so close.
Baby Roly Poly’s
Daniel picked up a roly-poly bug and then looked at his hands after he put it down. It dropped a dozen little baby roly-poly’s in his hand. Tiny little things!
Backyard Beauty
I wish I knew more about flowers… these are awesome!
My Personal Blog Posting Schedule
I get asked many times how I’ve organized publishing and posting on two blogs. Here’s the approach I use. One or two personal posts per day I write, post and share a short article or two on my personal ww.paulhelmick.com blog each day. Mostly these are...
Almost 9,000 steps by 10 AM!
I spent an hour this morning walking around downtown and through the mall. I multitasked and was able to make several phone calls and knock out alot of audio dictation on project notes.
Daniel’s Lego Jungle
Yesterday Daniel was quiet for almost a half hour. When we looked at what he was doing… Well, it’s just amazing to see the places his imagination takes him! He even poured some water around the outside edge to make a moat!
Mimosa tree in the backyard
It seems like every summer this tree has a hundred pink blooms on it that last for just a week or two. Beautiful.

We found out who’s been making eggs…
It’s our green lizards (Anoles). Evidently we have one male and two females. They lay 8 to 10 eggs over the course of a month and they hatch in a little lizards four weeks later.
Very positive success with controlling food choices and portions
By logging what I eat each day in my Fitbit app, it’s created an awareness of the foolish things I was eating, as well as oversized portions of food. The result has been a 500 cal daily differential in my favor! I’m eating more health now. Over time...
I fell short on my daily step goal
A great start but it tapered off. My weekend activity is dramatically less. The rest of the week I spent my days driving to appointments, not walking. The treadmill first thing in the morning will be my key to success.
We have eggs! (Reptile or Amphibian?)
I don’t know if they are from the lizards or toads yet, but I expect this might be the reason why little toad follows big toad around all the time. :)) Daniel was a estatic at the find!!
